I recently decided to replace my ageing shower head with a newer model. After doing some research, I decided to install a Moen Attract 4-inch 6-function hand shower with Magnetix docking system. Not wanting to pay a plumber for the installation, I decided to complete the install on my own. While I worked, I captured the steps tat I took on a video so that other people could use it as reference material for their own installation. I inserted the video that resulted at the end of this post. For your reference, I'm also going to post the shower parts and tools that I used to complete the install.
To make the install go smoothly and to help protect against leaks, it's a good idea to wrap the threads with some plumber's tape (PTFE tape). This lubricates the threads and helps create a lasting seal. Plumber's tape is very inexpensive and easy to use. This is similar to what I used:

Completing the install only required the purchase of a new shower head or hand shower. Tools
I did not need any tools to complete my install. However, if your old shower head is difficult to remove, a pair of Channellock pliers would be very helpful.- Channellock Tongue and Groove Pliers (paid link)
